Apprenticeship & Training Programs of Study
Apprenticeship training is a unique form of education that incorporates both on-the-job training and technical classroom
instruction. Many employers pay for most of the cost of the job training and classroom instruction, therefore an individual is not only getting paid for their work, but also getting practically a free education.
IEC offers a variety of apprenticeship training programs:
- Journeyman Electrician
- Professional Electrician's Program(PEP)
- Power Lineman
- Low-voltage\Restricted Energy
Here are some of the phenomenal features of the program:
- No prior work experience is necessary, just a high school diploma, GED or registered in a high school youth apprenticeship
program and be atleast 16 years old
- Certified by the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training therefore, you will receive certification as a
Journeyman Electrician when completed.
- While enrolled in the training programs, there are guaranteed wage increases at scheduled intervals - many people double their earnings!
- Nearly 10,000 apprentices are enrolled nationwide in 50 locations. You may easily transfer to and from these locations -
in Georgia alone there are over 400 students in 5 locations
Job placement services are available to find and maintain full-time employment during the duration of our program.
